My Favorite Game

All kinds of video game systems, like the Sony Playstation Portable and the Microsoft Xbox 360, have released some excellent video games. From great sporting titles to whimsical fantasy games to rough & tumble army games, there have been some great video games released over the years. Combine that with some of the music featured in today's video games, which wouldn't sound out of place on an iPod Nano.

A video game that I enjoy playing over and over again is one for the Playstation and the Sony Playstation Portable called Medievil.

This is one of those video games that is both addictive and challenging at the same time. As Sir Daniel Fortesque, you are the main character and hero of the game. And, by the way, you're also dead. But, through the magic of the Sony Playstation Portable, you return to life to once again battle the evil forces of, well, evil. It's a simple premise that has been seen and played on many video game platforms, from Nintendo to the Microsoft Xbox 360. For some reason, though, Medievil is a great game to play for the Sony Playstation Portable and for the original Sony Playstation.

Everything about this game really clicks. The soundtrack for this game is definitely iPod Nano quality. Each part of the soundtrack corresponds beautifully with each unique level and area of the game, so that rather than playing a video game, you feel like your actually watching a spooky, scary and gothic movie - with you as the star! The voice work and graphics are some of the best that you'll experience and play on the Sony PSP.

There are many big time and big name video games that get all of the hype and the press. And, for the most part, the attention is well deserved, as the more popular games are often some of the best and most innovative titles ever created. But, once in a while, a smaller title gets released that is an absolute gem and soon becomes a cult classic video game. For me, Sony really hit a home run by releasing Medievil, and now that's it's available on the Sony PSP, it's even better than ever!
