In today's world, there is no way we can just sit still. It is especially difficult because keeping still can put us behind. Today's world is dependent on the motion and movement of its inhabitants. Staying still can result in lost opportunities and missed information. Therefore, it is vital that our electronic items are as portable as we need them to be.

Of course, there is no reason for people to bring all of their favorite music with them wherever they go, except for the simple reason that they can. Therefore, why not take advantage of it? Looking at the Apple iPod Nano, one can easily see how it fits into today's high-speed lifestyles. It's easy to use and easy to bring with us. If the Apple iPod Nano required hours upon hours of time spend to set up and use, nobody would purchase one then. That's because in today's world, we are either arriving at one place from another, or leaving one place to get to another location. And we are usually engaged in this activity while keeping an eye on the clock. The Apple iPod Nano can keep up with us by terms of its speed and easy usability. It doesn't keep us grounded or stuck in one place.

Conversely, look at something like the Playstation Portable. Yes, its primary focus is that of being a hand held video game system. But, it can do so much more than that. The Sony PSP can playback videos, display photographs, play music and it can even surf the net. It therefore allows us to bring information and look up information while we are on the run. And because of its portable design, it also enables people to look up information while on the move. There is no need to abandon your daily pursuit in order to research and locate some key information with the Playstation Portable. Because it can surf the net while not necessarily connected to it with wires and cables, it can give you the information you need as quickly and as importantly as you need it. Again, the Sony PSP is another device that does not keep its user locked in one location.

Of course, we have been using portable devices for many years now. Cell phones were one of the first, and still remain among the most popular portable electronic devices around. There are now cell phones that can double as a digital camcorder. While before, these were large and bulky devices that required a great amount of time and room to use, they are now all wrapped up in one tiny unit and are ready to go - literally - when we are.
