Getting Creative With A Ringtone Maker

by Jim Mandl

Ah, yes - modern technology. Today you can get creative in so many ways with all the options you have with huge files of music on your iPod, operating your PC from a distance, not to mention using a ringtone maker to have your phone make the sounds YOU want. A ringtone maker has become the new fad for young and old.

By taking any of your personal favorite songs, soundtrack clips or even yor own favorite personal noise recordings, you can create your own ringtone with a ringtone maker. As a desktop application, it is both easy to download and use. And you can store the ringtones you create forever, for free. It has quickly becomes the hot way to create your own favorite ringtones that are truly personally yours.

You upload a song, selecting from your current files by choosing either MP3, OGG, CD or WMA audio files. You then open a new project, select the part of the song or clip you want as your new ringtone, select a song quality and then save your ringtone. It's easy! Your new ringtone can be anywhere from five to thirty seconds and you can even add animations or screen svaes with some ringtone maker applications.

Of course, your phone will need to be able to support ringtones (goes almost without saying, doesn't it?) and have Internet service/ email to use a ringtone maker. You won't need any special cables unless using download ringtones to your cell phone or Bluetooth from your PC. You will need a cable to accomplish that.

If you don't live in the US, don't panic. Up to 60 other countries also allow the ringtones to work. And you can make literally thousands of ringtones for yourself and family and friends, no matter what occasion or event or mood to convey. A ringtone maker will enable you to give your loved ones special treats as well as to send them a special kind of message.

Even though you can always opt to use the free ringtones that came with your phone, once you have created a couple of custom ringtones, you will never go back to the basics. From screaming Halloween ringtones to mood setting holiday ringtones, to very special mood setting anniversary or birthday ringtones, each custom tone you make will always remind you of your special occassion.

When shopping some of bigger feature ringtone software, you will coll features like free SMS messages. Other will require a converter for your midi files when creating youru own polyphonic ringtones.

The learning curve is short for the typical ringtone maker software. Anyone can have lots of fun making your own custom message for your cell phone. And, you can both impress your family and friends with your creativity and teach them a thing or two along the way. Change your ringtone every day with your mood or every week to kill the monotony of the work week. In the end, have fun with your ringtone maker.
