Maximizing Creativity With Small Female Tattoo Designs

by Tim Croy

One of the hallmarks of being a woman is that you generally have a smaller body than men do. This can be both an advantage and a disadvantage if you're thinking about getting a tattoo. It's important to keep this consideration in mind when researching small female tattoo designs.

Frequently, women choose to have tattoos placed on their lower backs. This is a very logical place to get a tattoo, because this offers women a freedom that other locations do not. For instance, if you choose to ink your back, you can choose any size design that you desire.

Despite this, however, many women encounter situations that may require the concealment of their tattoos. Perhaps the business for which they work prohibits visible tattoos, or perhaps a family member is strongly averse to them. Choosing a small female tattoo can be necessary for a variety of reasons.

But small size doesn't mean small impact. Where you put your tattoo is key. A small tattoo on the lower back can have a big impact by drawing the eye to this flattering part of the female body. You can catch someone's attention with just a small design, like a flower or an intricate knot.

Another alluring option is to consider getting a tattoo on your ankle. Tattoos draw the eye, and those eyes will follow the curve of your leg all the way up to the other curves of your body too. Some women even elect to have tattoos that resemble indelible ankle bracelets. All the advantages of wearing sexy jewelry will be yours without the cost or the care involved! Additionally, women sometimes find these tattoos more feminine because they are more subtle and less prominent.

Choosing a small tattoo will allow you to focus your money on color. Colored tattoos are usually more expensive, but you can save money by getting a fairly small design that focuses strongly on color and shading. These are two excellent ways to make your design unique without bankrupting you.

Be aware though, getting tattoos are painful. This is one possible reason for opting for a smaller design. Select a design that relates your individual personality without spending all night and three weeks of subsequent pain to announce your individuality.

People choose small female tattoo designs for a variety of reasons. Be aware, though, that smaller tattoos aren't necessarily equivalent with compromise - small doesn't have to me generic. Just because you are smaller doesn't mean your body has to look boring!
